I'm very sorry to have to report that my father passed away this morning. He'd been having a difficult time of it for awhile, and was in the hospital as a result of a small car accident he'd had last week. He died peacefully, in his sleep. No one expected this outcome at this time, but I think he just decided it was time. He and my mom had been divorced for over 25 years, but her death hit him very hard, and I think the world just didn't make much sense to him anymore.
Rest in peace, Pop.

Lucy is the lively one in the lovely lavendar stripes. With her birthing class - all healthy and happy.

My friend David took a photographic stroll through the Central Park Gates installation. 
It's still not my favorite Christo, but this picture makes a pretty good case.
