My grandparents had a summer cottage in southern Indiana, in Brown County. I spent a lot of time there as a kid. When my aunt, my father's much loved sister, died 15 years ago, she asked that her ashes be scattered in the woods nearby, in a spot she loved. And that's where my dad wanted to be as well.

The woods in spring

It was beautiful there last week.

I stopped posting for a while because of a very sad thing. I'm happy to start again because of a very happy thing.

Welcome to the world, Eli.
